She possesses a special insight into people’s personalities and this skill, coupled with her extensive legal knowledge and strength and awareness of the workings of the Court system enables Ramena to deliver outcomes to clients which often provide an efficient, accurate and final end to what may otherwise be costly, lengthy and very stressful litigation for the client.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Ramena practised as a solicitor from 2002 – 2008, where she conducted litigation at Teece Hodgson & Ward Solicitors (Teece), Henry Davis York and Deacons. In 2001, Ramena was Tipstaff to the Honourable Supreme Court Justice George Palmer AO. Ramena previously held the position of Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law, Sydney in Family Provision Law.
In 2015 she presented a paper for the NSW STEP TEP Branch in the Banco Court (Supreme Court of NSW) on statutory/court authorised wills for persons living but lacking capacity to make or change a will (one of Ramena’s areas of speciality). Ramena is a knowledgeable, practical and vibrant speaker at legal conferences and is frequently invited back to speak at CLE courses for solicitors.
